When you find your purpose, you just feel it. It permeates every part of you.

Amazing, powerful and gifted. Leslie’s writing comes natural. She has an anointing to draw readers deep into the story. Every article I’ve read – I walk away feeling inspired to pursue my purpose.

Even when you try to chart a different course for your life, your purpose keeps pulling you back. Writing is that one thing that pulls at me incessantly. It makes me happy. It's a gift that I never take for granted. I write business communique, speeches, marketing presentations, feature articles, digital content, opinion pieces, advertising copy, scripts and so much more. I love researching a subject, interviewing fascinating people and crafting stories that entertain, educate and ignite something deep from within. See a few writing samples below.

Leslie created a women's wellness + mindfulness + fitness platform, Get Your Sol, to enlighten, empower and encourage women to chase the sun (i.e. their dreams, their goals, inner peace, self-love). Get Your Sol features thought-provoking articles on mindfulness, fitness and nutrition, celebrity features, wellness destinations, nuggets of wisdom and oceans of inspiration. We highlight women who illumine the lives of other women and the community. There's also a little something for men too.

So many of us have been there. We earn the degrees, land the dream job our parents can brag to their friends about and steadily advance in our careers only to get to a point where we can no longer hide the truth. This is not your purpose. This is not your life. It starts as a nagging feeling like a fly buzzing around your ear until it becomes a profoundly intuitive moment that repeats itself over and over—tantamount to a slow, painful death by a thousand cuts. The universe begins to reveal signs that you have some real work to do. You either pay attention to these signs and begin to figure out how to take the necessary steps to answer your life when it comes calling — or you don’t and experiences begin to emerge where the universe literally forces you out. Resistance is futile.

Women Who Run Shit: Radiah Rhodes, Dr. Roni Ellington and Tawana Bhagwat, Founders of Evók Life by Design

It’s rare to find three poised, intellectual women of color working together to transform the way women leaders, corporate executives and entrepreneurs own their truth and show up in this world. It’s rarer still to find three women of color doing this life-changing work who also happen to be steeped in engineering and mathematics degrees with energy work and life coach expertise. There is no refuting that the creators of Evók Life by Design are all-around bad asses — and REAL women to boot.

When Black men are healthy, our nation is healthy

Black men running through the streets of any given city can conjure up feelings of fear and looks of concern from unenlightened passersby. Why are Black men running? Who are they running from? — some onlookers may wonder, particularly in today’s racially-charged climate.

The better question is, what are Black men running to?
